Purpose of our Grants
The aim of the Melbourne Women’s Foundation Grants Program is to boost the ability of an organisation to effect change that actively improves the wellbeing of women or women with families residing in Greater Melbourne.
We do this primarily by distributing two Grants annually to two bold, often smaller, non-profit organisations striving to do outstanding work for the benefit of Melbourne women.
All applications received in the granting round are rigourously assessed by the Melbourne Women’s Foundation Grants Committee. Six finalist organisations are selected to be presented to our membership at our grants event in October/November each year.
As a giving circle, our grant amounts are dependent entirely on the funds we receive from our members by 30 June each year.
Grant amounts are announced in July each year when the grants round opens for applications
